Muenster Cup Competition 2012 History – It was a tie!
April 4th, 2012 will go down in history as a night to remember. CAPRI Institute held its annual Muenster Cup Competition in the grand ballroom of the Hanover Marriott in Whippany, New Jersey. Over 500 family, friends and classmates attended the “Red Carpet” event to see which students and school would win the title of being the “The Best of the Best” at CAPRI. Every year the competition is fierce and this year was no exception as the students competed in Hairstyling, Make up Artistry and Nail Design. The evening was filled with glamour, talent, and entertainment in Hollywood Fashion right down to the red carpet that was originally used for the Tony awards. The band ‘I am Fighting’ and DJ JBEATZ kept the crowd going as the competitors finished working on their models and the hard job of judging began. The Muenster Cup Competition is a long standing tradition named in honor of the founder of Capri Institute, Helmut E. Muenster . Every year this competition is held amongst the CAPRI schools throughout NJ in hope of bringing home the “CUP” and proudly displaying it in their school for the year to follow. After the individual winners from each school for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Hair, Make- up and Nails was announced, Ms. Marjorie Amorosi, Director of Schools took the stage to present the ”Muenster Cup” to the overall school winner. The much anticipated announcement of the winner came as a shock when Ms. Amorosi began with “First time ever in Muenster Cup History we have a TIE! We will have a traveling CUP this year. The winners are Kenilworth and Brick!!” Needless, to say both schools were excited even if they had to share the CUP this year but it will be a year no one will soon forget.
